Nestled in the valley of Troutbeck lies one of our favourite venues in The Lakes – Broadoaks Country House, a beautiful house dating back to the 1800’s.
Broadoaks and its grounds are full of charm and character, from quirky touches in both the public rooms and the bedrooms, the modern Orangery situated at the back of house to the stunning wedding lawn that overlooks Lake Windermere.
One of the things that makes Broadoaks one of the most attractive lake district wedding venues is the fact you can take exclusive use of the entire house.
We absolutely love the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Broadoaks, there are so many fantastic, photogenic opportunities to capture beautiful memories of your big day all within the hotels grounds.
One of the most interesting features at Broadoaks is the stunning fountain that is situated at the front of the hotel, especially in the evening when both of these shots were taken.
The hotel is also only a stones throw away from both Lake Windermere and Kirkstone Pass, two fantastic locations for some dramatic and intimate shots of the newly weds!

Captured Our Day Perfectly
We couldn’t be happier with our wedding photographers, Darren and Costel! From start to finish they were relaxed, friendly, and incredibly creative. Having our dogs involved in the wedding was so important to us, and they were absolutely brilliant with them, making sure they were a meaningful part of the day and the photos. We received a preview of the photos the very next day and they were absolutely incredible. We can’t wait to see the rest! We honestly can’t recommend Darren and Costel highly enough.

We used Different Angle for our Wedding a month ago, from start to finish Darren & Costel have been amazing!! Our day has been captured perfectly and really shows how good the day was. We added the video option and wow!!!! Both Darren & Costel were calm, chilled and put us and our guests at ease all day, none of this pushing around you get from some.

We met Darren when viewing our wedding venue and instantly knew we wanted him to take our wedding photos. We wanted relaxed laid back photos. We felt comfortable throughout the whole day and everything was well organised we even got taken down to the lakes for some photos and to another location of our choice. The photos are amazing and we got our sneak peak back before we had even left the wedding venue.

Perfection
Communication from start to finish was great, they accommodated all requests made and made great suggestions along the way. Pictures have turned out amazing and I'm a little shocked at just how many there are! The sheer fact that I now have pictures of my husband smiling is truly reason enough to recommend them to everyone. Before the wedding, I had two...TWO pictures where he could be considered to be smiling. Now I have lots!
Intimate Wedding
We had a very small wedding and only wanted a few pictures of our special day. Darren and Costel were fantastic and fit into the day seamlessly, with both discreet pictures with our few guests, to intimate shots. They were able to guide us on the best locations at the venue and even took us offsite to get some lovely scenic shots. It was perfect for us.
Amazing photographers, highly recommend
Darren and Costal were absolutely amazing! From start to finish of our day, you barely knew they were there but they captured so much! We have such beautiful pictures to remember our day. It was great having two of them. As people not so used to having pictures taken they made us feel at ease and it seemed so natural.
