Set on the edge of Lake Windermere, this Georgian mansion offers the perfect blend of elegance, history, and natural beauty. Inside, the grand interiors are full of charm — from sweeping staircases to soft-lit drawing rooms. Outside, you’re treated to landscaped gardens, lakeside lawns, and panoramic views that make every part of the day feel cinematic.
But what truly sets weddings at Storrs Hall apart is the Temple of Heroes — a neoclassical rotunda that stretches out onto the lake on its own narrow walkway. It’s a landmark in its own right, and one of the most breathtaking spots we’ve ever photographed. The short walk to the temple always feels like a moment in itself — a pause, a breath, a step away from the buzz of the day. And once you’re inside, surrounded by water and framed by columns, it feels like the world falls away. From a photography perspective, it’s a dream: perfect symmetry, beautiful light, and endless creative opportunities.
We often take our couples to the temple for some quiet time after the ceremony — whether it’s just a few minutes to breathe, exchange a few words, or capture some gentle, timeless portraits. It’s those in-between moments that really bring your wedding story to life.
The rest of the grounds are equally inspiring. There are wooded paths, open lawns, and a jetty that catches the light beautifully during golden hour. Indoors, the soft colours and large windows create the ideal setting for relaxed, documentary-style images throughout the day — from morning prep to late-night dancing.
